Litigation Our litigation lawyers act for both corporate and individual clients, practicing in most areas of civil litigation, including insurance, construction law, corporate/commercial, wrongful dismissal and estate litigation. Several of our litigators have a primary focus on insurance law, which includes property damage, bodily injury, life and health, motor vehicle, product liability, occupier's liability, errors and omissions, professional liability, construction, surety and fidelity bonds. Our substantial experience in the area of professional liability includes the defence of architects, engineers, land surveyors, chartered accountants, lawyers, insurance agents/brokers, real estate agents/brokers, health care professionals and hospitals, and manufacturers of medical products. While this gives us primarily a defence focus, our experience extends to the interpretation of policy wordings, opinions on coverage, as well as subrogation actions. We also have extensive experience in various forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. We appear before all levels of courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as administrative tribunals and professional discipline committees.
