J. Graeme E. Young received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999 and his law degree from the University of Manitoba in 2004. Graeme was admitted to the Manitoba Bar in June, 2005, and joined Campbell, Marr LLP in January, 2006 after articling and practicing with another Winnipeg law firm. Graeme became a Partner in the firm in January, 2009. Graeme is currently completing a Master of Laws degree in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution at Osgoode Hall Law School, with an anticipated graduation date of October, 2010.

Graeme's preferred areas of practice include civil, commercial, and administrative litigation with a particular emphasis on insurance defence litigation, which includes matters relating to professional liability and discipline. Graeme has experience in dealing with legal issues in a broad range of subjects including contractual, shareholder, and commercial disputes, negligence cases, construction litigation, trust and estate litigation and employment law matters. Graeme represents financial institutions in all manner of debtor/creditor litigation including bankruptcy and insolvency matters. Graeme has also provided procedural advice to various administrative bodies and has experience in professional misconduct litigation and prosecutions. Graeme has appeared before the Manitoba Court of Appeal, the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench, the Provincial Court of Manitoba, the Manitoba Labour Board, and various other administrative tribunals. Graeme has also appeared and argued before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court of Ontario and the Federal Court of Canada.

Graeme is a member of The Law Society of Manitoba, the Manitoba and Canadian Bar Associations, sits on the Executive of the Civil Litigation Section of the Manitoba Bar Association and was the Chair of the Young Lawyers' Section of the Manitoba Bar Association from 2006–2008. Graeme is a former member of the Board of Directors of Literacy Partners of Manitoba and a former member of the Board of Directors for Manitoba Opera. Graeme is a member of the Board of Directors for The Winnipeg Children's Access Agency. Graeme has been actively involved with the Manitoba Law School participating as a moot Court Judge for both the Advocacy and Advanced Family Law courses, as well as participating as an Executive Director for the Business Corporations course.

Graeme has presented and written articles on such topics as "Expert Reports", "Self-Represented Litigants", "Law of Costs Awards" and "Vexatious Litigants, and has been a contributor of articles to the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers as well as other scholarly publications. Graeme is a regular contributor to the Manitoba Bar Association's monthly publication, "Headnotes and Footnotes" publishing articles related to recent civil litigation matters in Manitoba. Graeme is active in lecturing to high school students for the Canadian Bar Association's Annual Law Day Mock Trials, and has judged several public speaking and debate championships at the National Level. Graeme has completed both the Direct Examination and Cross- Examination modules offered by The Law Society of Manitoba as well as the Law Society of Manitoba's Intensive Advocacy Workshop. Graeme won an Honourable Mention in the second year advocacy programme, and was the recipient of the Judge Ross A. Johnston Prize for Family Law. Graeme is formerly a Senior Editor and Business Editor of the Manitoba Law Journal.
