Educated at Queen's University (B.A.) and the The University of Manitoba (L.L.B.), Ian received his call to the Manitoba Bar in 1995 after articling with another firm. He then commenced his practice as in-house counsel to a local travel company and shortly thereafter joined a long-established Winnipeg law firm where he he provided legal services and advice to a wide variety of clients in corporate and commercial, administrative, real property and litigation matters.
Ian has been active in both the Winnipeg business and volunteer communities having been part-owner of a local publishing company from 2002 until mid-2006 and having served on commitees established by various charitable, not-for-profit and recreational entities including the Pan Am Games Society, The Westland Foundation and Glendale Golf Club.
Ian works primarily with Doug Mackenzie, Garth Reimer, Kent Fast and Megan Kelly and his practice is restricted to corporate and commercial, real property and related matters with an emphasis upon the incoporation and organization of private companies, sales and acquisitions and financings. |
